Charges allege copper theft from OPPD lot
Plattsmouth men charged in Cass County
PLATTSMOUTH - John Louis Ostrander, 48, and Joseph Hofler, 38, both of Plattsmouth, are charged with conspiracy to commit theft on Nov. 13.
A Cass County Sheriff’s Office affidavit says officers investigating the theft of copper wire valued at $6,500 from an Omaha Public Power District facility in Louisville reviewed camera footage showing two people inside the fenced lot.
Investigators served a search warrant Nov. 25 at an Avenue E residence in Plattsmouth, where several strips of copper wire were found.
