NEBRASKA CITY-  Christopher Johnson, 27, of Otoe was sentenced to 275 days in jail for attempted delivery of marijuana on Feb. 14.

A Nebraska state trooper told the court he pulled over a Camaro on Highway 2 and searched based on the odor of marijuana. The trooper said he found 179 grams of marijuana, two phones, $450 and 25 baggies.

 In a separate case, Trent Decker, 49, of Nebraska City was sentenced to 80 days in jail and two years probation for attempted terroristic threats on April 10. He was given credit for 49 days served.

A Nebraska City police affidavit says he saw messages from a Meta app threatening of Second Avenue resident to meet him somewhere or his innocent children would be involved needlessly.

The affidavit says Decker told police he would leave the man alone, but police observed him near the house with a machete.
