PLATTSMOUTH - The Cass County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of 35-year-old Shawn Boger of Mason City, Iowa.

Boger is charged with burglary in September of 2023. He is scheduled for a first appearance in Cass County Court today on four counts of burglary, including Frontier Coop of Manley, Westover Rock & Sand in Weeping Water, Down Home Saloon in Avoca and Cass County Roads Department.

In a separate case, Jonathan Speed, 26, of Nehawka is suspected of terrorist threats on Aug. 18.

A sheriff’s office affidavit says a woman told investigators she received threatening text messages. The affidavit says Speed explained to deputies that the comments were “blown out of proportion.”
