Syracuse fire responds to Freightliner fire

SYRACUSE - Syracuse Fire and Rescue extinguished a fire on a Freightliner Wednesday morning at 7:35 on Highway 2 near Road 38.

The truck was hauling two Freightliner straight trucks when a rear axle started to smoke.

Firefighters and the Otoe County Sheriff’s Office left one westbound lane of the highway open. Dunbar fire also responded.
