Darin A. Ziemann, 58 of Unadilla, passed away at his home on April 5, 2025. He was born on October 7, 1966, to Russell & Trixy (Lewis) Ziemann of Unadilla. Darin graduated from Syracuse High School in 1984 and went on to attend UNL. On July 18, 1986, he married his soulmate, Michele Jaspring.

In 1990, Darin proudly joined the United States Air Force, where he served until he was honorably discharged in 1999. After his military service, he continued helping others as a Radiology Technician at St. Mary’s Hospital and Physician Clinic in Nebraska City.

He was a member of the Unadilla United Methodist Church. He also found joy in many hobbies including tabletop games, golfing, woodworking, and reading. But above all, he cherished the time spent with his beloved nieces, Breanna and Caitlyn.

He is survived by his brother Shane (Stacy) Ziemann; nieces Breanna & Caitlyn Ziemann; in-laws Norman & Pat Jaspring; along with many other nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Michele in 2019.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 12 at 11:00 a.m. at the Unadilla United Methodist Church. The service will be livestreamed on the Fusselman Facebook page. Burial will follow at the Unadilla Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 11 from 1-8 p.m. with family greeting friends from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home in Syracuse.

Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
