Peak snowfall expected for morning commute

Update: 7:28 p.m. Snow plows in operation from Falls City to Burchard. Roads partially covered.
NEBRASKA CITY - The forecast for most of River Country has the heaviest snow from 1 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday.
Chances of snow at Falls City go from 30 percent this evening to 100 percent by midnight. Snow chances remain at 70 percent by 3 p.m. Wednesday.
The National Weather Service has six to eight inches from Nebraska City to Falls City and Maryville, Mo., with areas near a foot of snow at the Kansas border.
The winter storm warning has been extended north to include the I-80 corridor. Peak snow rates are expected from 3 to 9 a.m. Wednesday. Blowing snow could develop later in the afternoon.
Windchills Wednesday night are forecast at -15 to -25 north of Interstate 80.
However, the heaviest snow for Nebraska is still expected along the Kansas border to south of Highway 2 in Otoe County.
