Falls City council considers street plan
FALLS CITY - The Falls City City Council is scheduled to meet at 6 p.m. on Dec. 2 at 2307 Barada St.
The agenda includes election of the council president, mayor appointments, the one and six-year street plan and selection of an engineer for water and wastewater projects through 2027.
Certified for election were Frank Killingsworth, ward 1, Kenny Killingsworth, ward 2, Sara Ruiz, ward 3 and Josh Kaster, ward 4.
Officers for the fire department are Matt Beer, chief; Jon McQueen, first assistant chief; and Tim Daniels, second assistant chief.
The city’s street six-year plan includes the $2.3 million project on 28th Street from Fulton Street to Road 3657 and on north to the airport. The city proposes replacing existing gravel road with 6-inch concrete with curb and gutter.
The one-year plan includes paving on two blocks of Lane Street near 35th Street, paving a block of Reavis Street and paving 600 feet of Fulton Street from Highway 73 to east and north.
