NEBRASKA CITY, NE - The Knights of Lourdes Central Catholic grabbed a doubleheader sweep of the Sidney, IA, squads in a couple of makeup games on Monday.

In the opener, LCC dominated from the jump, building a 16-0 lead after the first quarter. The game stayed in the hands of the Knights' girls, as they cruised to a 47-31 victory. Jenna Box was the lone player scoring in double figures for the host squad, hitting for 21 points. Only four players scored for the Cowgirls, who were led by the 16 points of Lilly Peters. Lourdes CC is now 12-7 on the season, while Sidney sits at 6-13. 

The boys' contest saw the Knights rack up a double-digit lead after the first quarter again, this time taking a 19-8 lead. That lead was still double-figures heading into the fourth at 38-28, but Sidney made it interesting late before falling, 45-42. Lourdes got 17 points from Trevor Tesarek & a dozen from Nolan Beccard. Sidney was led by the 17 points of Braedon Godfread, while Michael Hensley was in double-digits with twelve points. The Cowboys were just 10/19 at the free throw line in the loss, while the Knights shot below 50% there, going 13/27. The LCC boys moved their mark to 7-10 on the season, while the Cowboys slid to 6-14.
