Prison ordered for Bridgewater
AUBURN - Kenneth Bridgewater, 55, was sentenced in Nemaha County Wednesday to one to 10 years in prison for burglary on Feb. 27. The sentence is concurrent with sentences for criminal mischief.
Court records say a Nemaha County sheriff’s deputy investigated a burglary report in Brownville. The phone and Internet line to the house had been cut, wind shield of a car in the parking lot broken, cattle horns inside the residence broken and a 9 mm handgun stolen.
Deputies served a search warrant at Bridgewater’s residence in Peru and say the pistol was found there. Deputies say a hammer like the one used to break security cameras at the Brownville residence was also located.
Bridgewater was on probation on a Johnson County case at the time of the burglary.
