Public input meetings set for recreation center feasibility

Uses proposed include childcare, after-school activities, recreation, fitness

FALLS CITY – Public input sessions are scheduled for the Falls City Recreation/Wellness Center feasibility study.

Hour-long public input sessions are scheduled at the SCC Learning Center Monday, Aug. 28, at noon and 6 p.m. and Wednesday, Aug. 30, at noon and 5 p.m.

Jay Palu and Megan Lutz of Alley Poyner Architecture are facilitators.

Proposed uses include recreation, fitness, childcare, aquatics, weights, indoor walking and after-school activities.

Four focus sessions are also planned to include organizations of Community Medical Center, Richardson Foundation, Rotary Club, Falls City Jaycees, Chamber of Commerce, Creative District, Arts & Humanities, Falls  City Recreation, Park Board, Falls city Public Schools, Falls City Sacred Heart and Sixpence.
