First Corso paving ahead of schedule
First Street to be closed several days for railroad crossing repair

NEBRASKA CITY - Construction and Facilities Manager Marty Stovall announced that work on First Corso is ahead of schedule.
Pavers Inc. began work on the mill and overlay Monday from Sixth to Ninth Streets.
DAX construction is scheduled to have all the concrete removal and replacement completed by this Thursday.
Monday and Tuesday, May 1-2, Pavers Inc. will plan to mill from 11th Street to 9th Street completing the mill and overlay on these remaining two blocks.
This will close First Corso from 11th to Ninth Street starting that Monday morning.
Remaining work will be Nebraska City Street Department to complete painting for parking stalls and crosswalks.
First street closing
NEBRASKA CITY – First Street in Nebraska City will be closed for rail crossing work south of Central Avenue and north of Fourth Corso.
Construction and Facility Manager Marty Stovall said a rail contractor is expected in town on May 1 and expects the rail crossing repairs to take three days. The city street department will do some repair work at that location.
The road is expected to re-open on May 5.
