LORTON -  A Nebraska City man is suspected of driving under the influence after an accident Saturday night near Lorton.

Otoe County sheriff’s deputies were dispatched for a roll-over accident at 11:15 p.m. and estimate damage to a Mitsubishi Outlander at $20,000.

An accident report says the car headed north on Highway 67, crossed over the intersection with Highway 128 and went into the east ditch. Talmage rescue responded, but 52-year-old Ruben Hernandez-Ramos refused transport.

OTOE – Pastor LuRae Hallstrom added to the prayer list Sunday after the church building was hit by a car prior to a service.

The driver is suspected to have sustained minor injuries and received prayer mentions at various points of the service.

Minimal damage to the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Otoe  is suspected, but the sound of the crash was startling for those inside.

The Otoe County sheriff’s office and Syracuse rescue responded.
