OMAHA - A winter storm watch is in effect Wednesday evening through Thursday afternoon.

Heavy snow is possible with accumulations of new snow forecast from five to eight inches for portions of southeast Nebraska.

The watch area includes Johnson, Nemaha, Pawnee and Richardson counties. Other counties are in a hazardous weather outlook.

A low temperature of 17 degrees is forecast mostly after midnight  in Falls City followed by a high temp of 25 degrees on Thursday. The highest chances of heavy snow are overnight Wednesday into Thursday morning. There is a 30 percent chance of additional snow Thursday with with clearing skies Thursday night.
