PLATTSMOUTH, Neb. -- Two people were arrested in Cass County this week after running out of gas during a pursuit with authorities.
Authorities say the incident started when a sheriff's deputy saw a car with fictitious plates driving in Plattsmouth Wednesday afternoon.
The driver allegedly took off when the deputy tried to stop the car.
The Nebraska State Patrol tried, but failed, to deploy spikes to flatten the tires.
Eventually, the vehicle ran out of gas on Highway 75.
47-year-old Gail Tierney of Council Bluffs and 40-year-old Desi Chamberlain were both arrested on numerous charges.
