SYRACUSE – Syracuse built a 15 point third quarter lead and kept control Friday in a 46 to 34 win over Falls City in class C1-1 competition.

Three-pointers by Falls City’s Carson Bredemeier and Jaxyn Strauss tied the score at 15  just before the end of the first quarter, but Falls City would never take the lead.

The Rockets’ Robert Shanks' basket gave Syracuse a 29 to 18 lead at the half. Shanks scored again to the start the second half and followed it up with a steal and layup to give Syracuse its largest lead of opening night.
