Sixth Street bridge closing March 15

NEBRASKA CITY – Nebraska City announced the temporary closing of the north Sixth Street bridge March 15 to March 19 for construction.

Construction and Facility Manager Marty Stovall said a new storm sewer pipe is being installed and the roadway will be closed for construction equipment and material.

Motorists will be able to exit Sixth Street at Seventh Avenue on the north or Fourth Avenue on the south.

 Stovall said motorists should expect some closures on the bridge until stabilization work is finished.
