CASS COUNTY - A woman is recovering from injuries after a car accident in Cass County.

The Cass County Sheriff's Office says that on Saturday around noon, deputies responded to a two-car accident at 24th Avenue and Golden Hill Drive.

Deputies spoke with 39-year-old Kelly Sorensen of Plattsmouth who said he was turning onto 24th Avenue from Golden Hill Drive when he failed to yield to another car.

The other car was driven by 23-year-old Alexandra Church of Bellevue.

Alexandra was complaining of a broken arm and was taken by family to the hospital.

Both car suffered major damage and had to be towed from the scene.

Alcohol was not believed to be a factor. Kelly was issued a citation for failure to yield.
