Wild Willy's Ordered To Probation For Impeding OSHA

NEBRASKA CITY – A federal judge ordered three years of probation to Wild Willy’s Fireworks after Dan Williams, president of the LLC, entered a plea to falsifying records to impede an Occupational Safety and Health Administration investigation.
U.S. Attorney Joe Kelly said an OSHA inspector was denied entrance for a workplace inspection at the Springfield facility, but agreed with Williams to return the following day in January of 2017.
The federal prosecutor says Williams then traveled to the facility and ordered employees to perform tasks in preparation for the inspection.
Kelly said Williams contacted a forklift operator trainer, but when the forklift trainer arrived he told Williams there was insufficient time to complete the training for his employees. Williams is accused of ordering the trainer to provide training certificates dating back to 2015.
The OSHA inspector asked for the forklift training certificates and Kelly said Wild Willy’s provided the false certificates.
Wild Willy's Fireworks is also fined $35,000.
