NEBRASKA CITY – A Talmage woman, who was released from custody Nov. 21 on a $2,000 bond provision, is suspected of distribution of methamphetamine on the following day.

Chastity Pierce, 26, was first arrested Nov. 10 after a K9 helped find two grams of methamphetamine behind the license plate of a car she was riding in.

One day after she bonded out on that charge, she was again the passenger in a vehicle where meth was found.

Sheriff Colin Caudill said a deputy noticed a vehicle driven by 23-year-old Trace Schmitz near Talmage. The deputy knew Schmitz had a suspended license, so he pulled the car over.

The sheriff says a container with 18 grams of meth was found in Pierce’s possession.

He said she is a suspect in the distribution of meth because of the amount of the illegal drug found in her possession.

Caudill: “The amount of suspected methamphetamine that we located would be an amount that we consider above and beyond a personal use amount.”

Schmitz, who was driving Pierce’s car, is suspected of possession.
