AUBURN – A Tennessee man is charged in Nemaha County on allegations of methamphetamine and driving his truck with a semi-trailer loaded with cattle at 75 mph through Auburn.

An arrest affidavit says sheriff deputies attempted to stop a truck driven by David Ivey, 48, of LaFollette, Tenn., on Highway 75 south of Auburn.

The affidavit says the northbound truck had crossed the center line of the highway, had gone completely into the wrong lane and was forcing some oncoming traffic to drive on the shoulder to avoid a collision.

The truck continued into Auburn until the driver stopped.

Deputies say a pipe with meth residue was found in the vehicle and report that Ivey told them the trailer was empty. The trailer was actually still loaded with 59 head of cattle.
