Pioneers Rally At Homecoming Parade
Band, class floats highlight downtown parade
NEBRASKA CITY – Nebraska City High School stepped up its homecoming week preparations with a downtown parade Friday afternoon.
The band led the way from 14th Street to a pep rally on Sixth Street.
They were followed by homecoming king and queen candidates, class floats, the football team and the middle school band.
The girls golf team was given special recognition at the pep rally. The Pioneers claimed the runner-up trophy at the district golf tournament and qualified for the state golf championships.
Homecoming king and queen will be announced at halftime of the football game against Falls City.
Queen candidates are Lindsey Booth, Madison Borns, Taelyn Allen, Isabella Denniston, Abbigail Balfour, Selena Balquier, and Addyson Little. King candidates are Max Chaney, Brayden Betts, Sawyer Kinnison, Eli Southard, Noah Sammons, Adam Dia and Jordan Williams.
