Not Guilty Pleas Entered In Falls City Sexual Assault
Woman tells police she was afraid to report earlier attack
FALLS CITY – Travis Sherman, 42, of Wahoo has entered not guilty pleas in Richardson County to allegations of first degree sexual assault, burglary and false imprisonment.
An arrest affidavit says Sherman is accused of following a woman into the door of her house and forcing her to a bedroom where an alleged assault took place on July 26.
The woman made the allegations against Sherman after a July 28 incident, where police responded to a report of a break-in in progress. Neighbors told police they saw a man climbing through a window frame of a house on Wilson Street and the shutting the window behind him.
Police report they found Sherman inside the house with the alleged victim. Police had arrested Sherman at the residence on May 18 for suspicion of violation of a protection order.
