FALLS CITY – Falls City police followed up on a traffic stop with a search of a Harlan Street residence, where they say they found signs of methamphetamine dealing near the playground at Grandview Park.

Keith Ferris, 35, of Falls City is accused of dealing meth and marijuana from the basement of the dwelling.

A search warrant affidavit says police stopped a Chevrolet Camaro driven by Ferris on Sept. 21 and determined he would not be allowed to continue driving it because he could not show proof of insurance. Ferris left the car in the custody of police, who say they found 5.6 grams of meth in a zipper compartment.

Police then looked for Ferris at a house at 924 Harlan St.  and later obtained a search warrant for the house.

An affidavit says police found meth residue on scales in the basement. A woman was arrested prior to the search for suspicion of heroin and Oxycodone, but online records did not show any charges filed Wednesday night.
