Auburn Prevails in Tight Battle with Lincoln Lutheran

Bulldogs top Warriors, 56-49, for Subdist. C1-2 Title

AUBURN, NE - The Auburn Bulldogs won a hard fought battle against the Lincoln Lutheran Warriors on Thursday, 56-49, to claim the Subdistrict C1-2 Boys Basketball Title, as heard on B103. The Warriors end the season with a mark of 12-13, while Auburn moves on to the District Finals at 23-1.

LL was up a bucket after each of the first two quarters (18-16, 29-26), but Auburn gained the advantage heading into the final frame, 41-37. In that fourth quarter, the Bulldogs held the Warriors' leading scorer off the board & claimed the 56-49 win. Grant Kuhlmann finished with 21 points for Lincoln Lutheran, but nobody else found double figures. Auburn got 17 from Ryan Guenther and 13 apiece from Brenton Wenzl & Creighton Keeling.
