BEAVER LAKE - The Cass County Sheriff’s Office reported a structure fire on Cree Court near the intersection of Trumball Terrace in the Beaver Lake Community at 6 p.m. on Nov. 29.

A press release says the home owner sustained burn injuries and was transported to the University of Nebraska Medical Center for treatment. One dog was able to escape the residence, while a second dog remains unaccounted for.

The Nebraska State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire.

Auburn Firefighters responded to smoke in a house at 12:54 p.m. Tuesday. The call at 720 14th Street was for a house full of smoke. Peru fire was paged just after 1 p.m. Firefighters were on the scene for about 50 minutes with minor damage to the residence.
