Loving Liam proposals on council agenda

NEBRASKA CITY- Small Beginnings, a Christian service organization, is proposing a memorial sitting bench along the bike trail with concrete pad and flowers.

The organization received a recycled bench from Keep Nebraska City Beautiful and would like to place it in memory of Liam Clowers. A small metal engraving will be attached to the bench.

The southwest connector trail was chosen for its accessibility and scenic setting. A pollinator garden is proposed, which will be cared for by Small Beginnings.

 

Nebraska City businessman Jeffrey Lant is proposing an evening of worship at the Veterans Memorial Building Parking Lot from 6 to 8 p.m. on Aug. 29. The group is asking the city council to close a portion of Eighth Street and the alley from Eighth to Ninth streets.

Mike Stelzer of Lincoln Berean Church will lead worship music at 7 p.m.

 

Nebraska City Tourism and Commerce and Small Beginnings are promoting the event.
