NORFOLK, Neb- Local Lutheran churches are putting on an outdoor worship service for the public.

On August 31st at 10 A.M. the public is invited to join Christ Lutheran, Grace Lutheran, and Our Savior Lutheran at Johnson park for Worship in the Park.

This is the third year the churches have done an outdoor service, including food and activities after the service.

This year’s theme is “Rejoicing Together” with the sermon from Paster Caleb Wehling from Our Savior.

“It should be a great time to not only worship together as brothers and sisters in Christ, but also to spend time together just having fun,” Tyler Beltz, Our Savior’s Director of Community Engagement, said in a news release.

There will be limited parking at the park but parking and shuttles will be available at the YMCA Gymnastics Center and in front of the Nebraska Workforce Development and Mosaic building.

If unable to have the service outside due to weather, it will be held at Our Savior Lutheran Church.
