PLATTSMOUTH – A Cass County judge has issued arrest warrants for suspects in a Hyvee shoplifting case this spring.

Charles Newson, 33, is charged with theft on April 18.

A Plattsmouth Police Department affidavit says surveillance cameras at Hyvee show three suspects and a white Chrysler 300 sedan involved in shoplifting

A man filled a shopping cart and is shown pushing it out the door while a woman waives a cashier into the aisle to distract her. Hyvee estimated the items in the cart, including various meats and alcohol, to be valued over $3,000.

Police say screenshots were posted to the Midwest Organized Retail Crime Association and they received an identification for Newson.

Raelet Robinson, 54, is charged with aiding and abetting a felony. The police affidavit says camera footage shows Robinson waving at the cashier to her assistance as the cart is pushed past the register.
