Possession, theft cases filed in Johnson County
Man says he was duped in vehicle trade in
TECUMSEH - Sarrah Barrs Daggett, 24, of Table Rock is charged in Johnson County with possession on Dec. 21.
A Johnson County sheriff’s deputy told the court he found hydrocodone pills during a Highway 50 traffic stop.
Lawrence McClellan, 61, of Pawnee City is charged with possession of Oxycodone on Dec. 14. An affidavit says McClellan was stopped on Highway 50 and his backpack was searched.
Michael Waters, 51, of Sterling is charged with theft on Dec. 28.
An arrest warrant says Johnson County deputies received a report of a stolen Jeep Wrangler from a Pawnee County deputy. The Jeep had been stolen out of St. Joseph, Mo., in June of 2023.
Waters told investigators he traded two vehicles for the Jeep, but he was not able to get title to the Jeep. Waters said he used a website called NCIB to check the VIN number of the Jeep and it was not reported stolen by law enforcement.
