LINCOLN - The Nebraska Department of Transportation’s aeronautics division has recently judged the 2025 aviation youth art contest with winners from Humboldt Table Rock Steinauer and Elmwood-Murdock.

This year’s theme, “Women with Wings” celebrated women who shaped aviation history.

Humboldt Table Rock Steinauer students and teachers Sharon Joyner and Jessica Evans are listed among this year’s winners. Students are Rayna Reyes, Cole Hunzeker, Dawniquia Goodlander and Eden Duryea.

Elmwood-Murdock students won in the 10 to 13 age division. They are Kate Stock, Ben Stock, Rykken Mitchem, Sophia Meisinger, Isabella Dankleff, Alexis Beach, Hadley Hall, Preston McHugh, Mara Cherry, Emmett Schutz and Sophie Collins. The teacher is Linda Trundle.

 

The top submissions in each age group advances to the National Aviation Art Contest in Washington, D.C.
