NEBRASKA CITY - A wind advisory was issued Monday for most of River Country until 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Winds of 25 to 35 mph are expected with gusts up to 50 mph.

The high winds are also a factor in wildfire risks with a red flag warning for the tri-state region today. With humidity as low as 15 percent, any fires that develop are likely to spread rapidly.

River County is listed in the high to very high risk for wildfire on Tuesday.
