Nebraska City struggled against the Bison, who have scored at least 41 points in each game and have now recorded back-to-back shutouts. CC held NC to just one first down in the game and an unofficial total of 39 yards. Central City piled up just over 500 yards of offense. The Pioneers did hold a 2-1 advantage, however, in taking the ball away.
Parker Zikmund led the Bison with a 7/10 night of passing for 131 yards and three touchdowns. He hit Turner Hanke for 71 receiving yards and two of those scores, while the other TD was caught by Jakob Ruhl from 22 yards away. Corbin Kyes was nearly unstoppable on the ground, churning out 214 yards and three scores on just ten carries.
Nebraska City will look to bounce back when they host Falls City (3-1) for their homecoming contest this Friday, Sept. 27.
