New mascot for fire prevention festival
Nebraska City Museum of Firefighting to host festival

NEBRASKA CITY - The Nebraska City Museum of Firefighting is hosting a fire prevention festival from 1 t o 4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 6, for fire prevention week.
Activities include museum tours, Freddie the Fire Truck, try on real fire gear, shoot water from a fire hose, fire extinguisher simulator and interactive smoke house.
The Vincent and Marie Kreifels Foundation funded the new smoke house and blow up mascot.
