Syracuse council considers downtown signage

SYRACUSE – The Syracuse City Council will consider Williams Park improvements, rescue squad equipment and downtown signage at its Aug. 14 meeting at 6 p.m. at city hall.
The parks department is seeking a new overhead door at a park shelter and the purchase of another mower.
Rescue Chief Tim Wilson is seeking approval for a Stryker powered stair chair. It is described as increasing safety and reducing patient tip back while moving up or down stairs.
Tim and Carly Antes from Do It Best hardware are seeking a conditional use permit to place four signs on the front of their building. The signs will be on the newly remodeled storefront.
Blue Rivers Area Agency on Aging is seeking $1,430 from the city. The agency, which celebrated its 50th anniversary this summer, offers meals, public transportation, housekeeping and legal services based on age.
