NEBRASKA CITY – Bond for an Otoe woman accused of assaulting her housemate as he slept was reduced in district court Monday.

Bond for 54-year-old Susan Allright had been set at $750,000 in May, but was reduced to a $5,000 provision. Allright is ordered to report weekly for pretrial services and wear an electronic monitoring device. She is to have no contact with Kirk Proplesch, a man who called 911 with an injury to his scalp.

Proplesch told investigators he was awakened with a the sound of a crack around 2:30 or 3 a.m., but went back to sleep after washing blood from his head. He said he woke about an hour later to see Allright standing beside the bed with a firearm. He said he took the firearm and once Allright fell asleep, he exited the home and called 911.
