SIDNEY, IA - The Fremont County Sheriffs’ Office reports the arrest of an Omaha man suspected of reckless use of fire on Feb. 28.

A sheriff’s office press release says 43-year-old Jesse Calabretto set fire on property he manages along Plum Creek Road and then left the area.

The fire spread onto an adjoining property, burning about 130 acres and requiring all seven Fremont County fire departments to respond.

Calabretto was released on a $1,000 surety bond.
