STUART, Neb. -- On Monday, March 8, 2024, law enforcement agencies executed six search warrants in Stuart, Nebraska. This operation involved the Holt County Sheriff's Office and the O'Neill Police Department, with assistance from the Nebraska State Patrol, and the Nebraska Brand Committee, according to the Holt County Sheriff's Office.

The search warrants targeted various locations in the town, resulting in a series of arrests and the seizure of illegal firearms and narcotics.

During the search of a fifth wheel camper at 221 North Main Street, authorities discovered a handgun and four rifles. Christopher Deepe, a 48-year-old resident of Broken Bow, Nebraska who resided in the camper, was arrested for alleged possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited person. Deepe was subsequently transported to the Holt County Jail.

Another search warrant was executed at a business located at the same address. Law enforcement found a rifle on the premises, allegedly belonging to Tyler Bain, aged 41. Bain was later apprehended during a search of his residence at 203 East 4th Street for the alleged possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited person. Similar to Deepe, Bain was also incarcerated at the Holt County Jail.

Additionally, search warrants were served at 302 East 3rd Street and at a fifth wheel camper located at lot 219 South Main Street, Lot #7. At the latter location, 48-year-old Timothy Johnson was found to be in possession of substances believed to be methamphetamine and marijuana, along with several items of drug paraphernalia. Johnson was arrested on multiple charges including possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana less than 1 oz., possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person. He was subsequently transported to the Holt County Jail.
