SEWARD, NE - The Auburn Bulldogs boys basketball team punched a return ticket to the State Tournament on Tuesday with a 57-38 win over Battle Creek. The Braves held a 12-11 lead over Auburn through the first frame, but a 20-6 second quarter put the lead on the Bulldogs' side by 13. Auburn pulled away to win comfortably in the fourth, improving their mark to 26-0 on the season. Auburn sophomore Brenton Wenzl led his squad with 15 points. The Bulldogs' Maverick Binder dropped in 14 points & Nolan Gardner hit for a dozen. The Braves saw Blake Borchers knock down 15, while Michael Wragge finished with ten.
