Eagles Sweep Knights in Road Doubleheader Tuesday
NEBRASKA CITY, NE - Johnson-Brock picked up a doubleheader sweep of Lourdes Central Catholic in Nebraska City on Tuesday, January 2. The Eagles' girls took the opener over the Knights, 52-37, while the boys followed in dominating fashion, 61-22.

The Eagles' girls took the opener over the Knights, 52-37, while the boys followed in dominating fashion, 61-22. Johnson-Brock's teams have records of 8-1 & 9-0 now, respectively, while Lourdes CC's squads sit at 4-3 & 1-6.
In the ladies' contest, Taryn Ottemann led the visiting squad with a 20-point performance for Johnson-Brock. Ottemann filled up the stat book with twelve rebounds & five steals. Also in double-figure points for the Eagles were Daley Pelican (12) and Brooklyn Behrends (11). LCC was led by the big 23-point night of Jenna Box, who converted 11/13 at the free throw line.
On the boys' side, Johnson-Brock put things away early, jumping to a 27-2 lead after the first quarter. The Eagles were feeling it from deep, connecting on twelve 3-pointers before the break! Casen Dalinghaus & Brody Koehler each dropped in 21 points for Johnson-Brock. For LCC, Nolan Beccard hit double-digits with ten points.
Next on the schedule for LCC is a trip to Falls City's place on Friday, January 5, and Johnson-Brock will visit Pawnee City on Thursday, January 4.
