OVERLAND PARK, KS - The Heart of America Athletic Conference has announced its All-Conference selections in the North Division for the 2023 football season. While Grand View University dominated the top selections by getting six of the eight big honors, one Peru State youngster grabbed some hardware.

Defensive back Duke McClinton had six interceptions this season for the Bobcats and six pass breakups, earning him a share of the Freshman of the Year award. McClinton also forced two fumbles and had a fumble recovery. He finished the season with a total of 43 tackles, which was fourth on the team.

The Bobcats also had numerous players grab All-Conference honors. First-team recognition went to Keyon Henry-Brooks (running back), Jordan Kempf (wide receiver), Devin Adams (defensive line), and Duke McClinton (defensive back). Earning spots on the second-team were Buddy Belcher (tight end), Kile Bentley (linebacker), Ashley Thompson (defensive back), and Jordan Kempf (kick returner). Finally, making the honorable mention list were Ahmad Baker (offensive line), Kaleb Herbel (wide receiver), and Zahir "Ziggy" Washington (defensive line).
