SIDNEY – The report of an unconscious man in Fremont County led to a methamphetamine arrest.
Fremont County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to 185th Street northeast of Sidney on July 22 for an unconscious man in a vehicle.
A sheriff’s office press release says Joshua Dean Cooney, 38, of Braddyville, Iowa, was transported from the scene by Sidney Rescue.
The sheriff says a search of the vehicle yielded 28 grams of meth, drug paraphernalia and “personal use amounts” of other controlled substances.
Cooney was arrested in Page County on Sept. 5 on a Fremont County warrant.
He was held on a $100,000 bond, as well as active warrants in Mills County.
