BROWNVILLE - Brownville is organizing two days of events to help celebrate Willa Cather’s 150th birthday on Oct. 14 and 15.

The Brownville Village Theatre will produce “A Resurrection,” a story based in Brownville and written by Cather. The play is adapted by Rachel Curtiss.

The Brownville Concert Hall will host dinners with a menu inspired by Willa Cather’s novels and life. Live music from the late 1800s is by Opera Omaha singers in costume.

The event is sponsored by The National Willa Cather Center, Nebraska Arts Council and the Brownville Creative District.
