Attempted murder charged in Cass County

PLATTSMOUTH – A Bennington man is charged with attempted murder in Plattsmouth on Aug. 9.
Bond was set at $500,000 for Chad Miller, 51.
Court records say Cass County deputies were called to intervene in a possible disturbance and located Miller and his pickup at a Sixth Street location. A sheriff’s deputy told the court he found five guns in the pickup. Four of the five had a round in the chamber and all of the weapons’ magazines were loaded.
Prosecutors allege that Miller made threatening statements involving a Plattsmouth man, who had a protection order out against Miller based on allegations of threats in May.
Miller told deputies he is able to track his wife’s Jeep with a vehicle finder app and he wanted to confront her.
An arrest affidavit says Miller made statements about an intent to harm himself and others.
