OMAHA, Neb. -- A section of street in Omaha now bears the name of a noted activist for the incarcerated and LGBTQ+ communities.
Taylor St. in between 25th St. and 25th Ave. in Omaha now bears the name Dominique Morgan St.
The move was approved by the Omaha City Council at their last meeting.
Morgan grew up on that section of Taylor, eventually growing to national prominence as the National Director of Black and Pink - an organization that advocates for prison reform.
