Seven arrested in the United States

TUSCON - U.S. and Mexican officials announced action against drug trafficking in Nogales, Sonora and the U.S.-Mexican border.

The operation resulted in the arrest of five people and the seizure of 120,000 fentanyl pills, 15 pounds of methamphetamine, 17 pounds of heroin, three assault rifles and a vehicle.

Seven U.S. based coordinators alleged to have ties to the drug trafficking organization have been arrested.

The US Attorney’s Office in Tucson, Ariz., is prosecuting the seven arrested in the United States.
