Probation ordered after Verdon search
Falls City man ordered to a year probation
FALLS CITY – James Kelly, 33, of Falls City was sentenced Tuesday to a year probation for possession of methamphetamine in August of 2021.
A jury trial was canceled in March before the state dropped a delivery charge and Kelly entered a plea to a reduced charge.
An arrest affidavit says Richardson County sheriff’s deputies served a search warrant in Verdon and found a smoking pipe and digital scale with meth residue.
Two others were detained and later subpoenaed to testify at trial.
Candace Chandler, 25, of Salem was earlier sentenced to 18 months probation for possession based on a felony charge filed after the Verdon search.
