Geddy devoted his life to the local people of Tabor, IA by being their mayor for many years. He ran Tabor Insurance for over 40 years, where he provided insurance to all the surrounding farms and families. There was no such thing as retirement for him. He truly loved working with people and loved when people would stop in to visit. For many years you could find him golfing at the Sidney golf course. He was an active member in many organizations; The VFW, The Eagles, Waubonsie Gun Club, and American Legions Club. He was a beloved father to his only daughter, Lori whom he spent many weekends watching football games and playing games such as Cribbage and Yahtzee. He kept a special relationship with each of his grandchildren by keeping in contact with them daily to stay an active member in their lives. He was the kindest person who loved to spend time at the Cardinals baseball games, being involved at the dog races, watching any college sport specifically Nebraska, Iowa, & Iowa State, and reading a variety of books. His face would light up when he saw you, but we all know he was the true light in everyone’s lives.
