Police report ATV, motorcycle crashes

NEBRASKA CITY - Nebraska City police report recent accidents, including an ATV crash near south Seventh Street on April 26.
A Honda ATV driven by Tylor Sturm left 11th Corso and hit a tree. Nebraska City Fire and Rescue transported Sturm to CHI Health St. Mary’s, where he was transported by a medical helicopter to a trauma center.
A motorcycle accident was reported during the Arbor Day celebration at Central Avenue and Sixth Street on Sunday.
A Chevrolet Malibu driven by a Nebraska City woman had stopped for pedestrians with the rear of the vehicle partially sticking out in the westbound lane of Central Avenue. Police say a motorcycle ran into the Malibu. The motorcycle driver was arrested for driving under the influence.
On May 2, a car waiting in line at the McDonald’s restaurant drive thru was hit from behind.
