Pursuit near Gretna leads to arrest of Colorado minor

GRETNA, Neb. -- The Nebraska State Patrol arrested a Colorado minor near Gretna after a pursuit that reached speeds over 100 mph.
Troopers said they saw a Subaru WRX allegedly speeding at a rate of over 100 mph at 12:40 a.m. on Interstate 80 near Gretna, at mile marker 435, on Tuesday.
Officials said the troopers tried to do a traffic stop on the Subaru but the driver reportedly sped up instead, leading to a pursuit. The trooper followed the Subaru west on I-80 as the driver reportedly reached a speed of 150 mph.
According to authorities, the Subaru's engine finally failed after traveling 10 more miles and came to a stop. The whole pursuit reportedly lasted less than five minutes.
