Falls City council considers Nebraska Cooperative Liquid Assets Security System Trust

FALLS CITY - The Falls City City Council will meet today at 6 p.m.

Nuisance abatement at 916 Morton St., 902 Harlan St. and 1015 E. 12th St will be on the agenda, as well as an electrical distribution improvements.

The 2022 EDGE annual report and the Nebraska Class Trust are also on the agenda.

The Nebraska Cooperative Liquid Assets Security System Trust allows cities to make joint investment of public money with other cities.

Utilities Superintendent Ray Luhring reports three bids for electrical distribution improvements ranging from $1 million to $1.3 million for group A and $3.1 to $4.5 for group B.

The utility recommends a bid by IES Commercial for $1.05 million for group A. For group B, the utility recommends a $3.1 million bid from Watts Electric Company.
